Natasa
Radovic, artist and photographer, exhibits at the Amantes Art Space
Café, Turin.
"... I try to capture the light that is not visible to the
human eye, in the un-perceptive/instantaneous sense. Our eye only
records visual fragments that our mind later recomposes in one comprehensible
scene with the aid of its experience.
To achive this, I apply long exposure times that allow a superview
in order to& record the luminous changes that have a long duration.
I cannot foresee the exact effect that I will obtain, that the figure
or light, will follow in its movements, or what colors will blend
together in order to create others... "
Natasa Radovic, provides us, at the Amantes Art Space Café, with her
interesting and personal reflections, her intuitions.
The exposure time, as we all know it, the short instant in which the
light acts on the sensitive material, Natasa denies with firmness.
She asserts with decision that her aim in photography is to compose
on a single photogram the deposits of these luminous flows in one
temporal synthesis, a stratification of information of an event on
a level beyond that of normal vision.
The work of Natasa therefore evokes the works and experimentations
of Marey, Muybridge, Edgerton, artists who worked towards the solution
of the enigma of movement and its implications in the narrow space
of the perception of the invisibile.
We find here a shining synthesis of these works, where this artist
guides us with fluid continuity to the discovery of her view on the
problem.
This for her is not suspending time and space but rather placing and
overlapping time and space. Time and space, that we succeed to evoke
and to reconstruct through the sinuous lines drawn from luminous sources
presented in the frame. And the same falling of this light in the
surrounding atmosphere, continuously mutes it.
The search of a personal mode of expression, the comunicative will
regarding places, persons, situations, culminates here, in front of
these works of light and shade, of color and non-color, in its presence,
as in its absence. Rich in information in which the light which reigns,
designs its course, while we stop ourselves to admire the careful
and meditated approach of Natasa Radovic to this unseizable and indispensable
symbol of our life.

Natasa Radovic was born in Rijeka, in Croatia, the 21 september 1971.
She lives in Venice.
She began her first experiments with the light in 1995.

"...tento di catturare la luce che risulta non visibile all'occhio
umano, nel senso non "percettivo-istantaneo". Il nostro
occhio registra solo frammenti visivi che in seguito la nostra mente
ricompone in uno scenario comprensibile, con l'aiuto della sua esperienza.
A tale scopo uso tempi di esposizione lunghi, che permettono come
un "supersguardo", di registrare i cambiamenti luminosi
che hanno durata lunga. Non posso prevedere quale effetto otterrò,
che figura, la luce, eseguirà nel suo muoversi, quali colori, sovrapponendosi,
interverranno a crearne altri..."
Natasa Radovic, ci propone presso Amantes, Art Space Café, la sua
interessante e personale riflessione, le sue intuizioni.
Il tempo fotografico, come noi tutti lo conosciamo, il breve istante
in cui la luce agisce sul materiale sensibile, Natasa lo nega con
fermezza. Lei afferma con decisione che il suo scopo, in fotografia,
è quello di comporre su di un unico fotogramma il depositarsi dei
flussi luminosi in una sintesi temporale, una stratificazione di informazione
su di un livello sensitivo inusuale nella visione normale di un qualunque
evento.
Il lavoro di Natasa evoca quindi i lavori e le ricerche di Marey,
Muybridge, Edgerton, artisti protesi verso la soluzione dell'enigma
del movimento e delle sue implicazioni nello spazio ristretto della
percezione dell'invisibile.
Troviamo qui una brillante sintesi di tali lavori, dove questa artista
ci guida con fluida continuità alla scoperta del suo punto di vista
sul problema.
Non tempo/luogo sospeso ma piuttosto tempo/luogo che si deposita e
si sovrappone a se stesso durante il suo esistere. Tempo/luogo che
noi riusciamo a evocare e ricostruire attraverso il sinuoso segno
impresso dalle sorgenti luminose presenti nella scena. E dal depositarsi
stesso di tale luce nell'ambiente circostante, mutandolo di continuo.
La ricerca di una via personale all'espressione, la volontà comunicativa
rispetto a luoghi, persone, situazioni, si riuniscono qui, di fronte
a queste opere di luce/ombra e colore/noncolore, nelle sue presenze
come nelle assenze, ricche comunque di informazione in cui la luce,
sovrana, disegna il suo corso, mentre noi ci soffermiamo ad ammirare
l'approccio attento e meditato di Natasa Radovic a questo simbolo
inafferrabile e indispensabile alla nostra vita.

Natasa Radovic è nata a Rijeka, in Croazia, il 21 settembre 1971.
Vive a Venezia.
Inizia nel 1995 i suoi primi esperimenti sulla luce.
