RELEASE
Mercoledì 4 giugno alle ore 18.00, al Galata Museo del Mare,
in collaborazione con il MuMa (Istituzione Musei del Mare e della
Navigazione), il Comune di Genova e Genova Musei, inaugura la mostra
d’arte contemporanea MARI contro MARI a cura di neues.pro studio:
artisti di Genova, Pisa, Amalfi e Venezia si fronteggeranno in un
progetto espositivo itinerante, utilizzando l’espressione artistica
come mezzo di sfida ironica, in memoria delle lotte fra le Repubbliche
Marinare.
Gli
artisti selezionati praticano le arti visive nelle città di
Genova, Pisa, Venezia, Amalfi; nei rispettivi territori provinciali
o regionali. Nelle loro produzioni, esprimono un forte legame d’appartenenza
al sito urbano che li ospita e dimostrano di voler rappresentare
la città o più in generale, una dimensione geografica
e territoriale che sentono propria.
Partecipano
all’esposizione,
con foto, dipinti e installazioni, gli artisti: Alfredo Maiorino,
Mimmo Padovano - Amalfi; Andrea Morucchio, Natasa Radovic, Luca
Vascon - Venezia; Alberto Martini, Cecco Ragni, studiOlo (Francesco
La Francesca, Matteo Tosi, Giulio Tosi) - Pisa; Lorenzo Biggi,
Guido Castagnola, Davide Ragazzi - Genova.
La
mostra al Galata è la prima di quattro collettive con
opere ispirate alle tematiche del mare, della navigazione, dell’identità civica
delle Antiche Repubbliche. Successivamente, la mostra sarà allestita
a Pisa, Amalfi e Venezia.
The
fourth of June, at six p.m., at the ‘Galata Museo del
Mare’ (in collaboration with ‘Mu.MA’ – Institution
Museums of the Sea and the Seafaring – Municipality of Genoa
and ‘Genova musei’) it will be opened the contemporary
art exhibition ‘MARI contro MARI’ –Seas against
Seas – curated by neues.pro studio: artists from Genoa, Pisa,
Amalfi and Venice will face themself inside an expositive itinerant
project, using the artistic expression like tool of ironic challenge,
in memory of the fights among the Seafaring Republics.
The artists selected practice the visual arts in the towns of Genoa,
Pisa, Amalfi, Venice; in their respective provincial or regional
territories. In their works, they express a strong tie of belonging
to the urban site that give them hospitality and they demonstrate
to will represent the town or in general, a geographical and territorial
dimension that they feel like own.
The
artists whom take part in the exhibition are: Alfredo Maiorino,

The exhibition at the Galata museum is the first of four collective
shows with works inspired to the themes of the sea, the navigation,
the civic identity of the Ancient Seafaring Republics. Afterwards,
the exhibition will be dressed on Pisa, Amalfi and Venice.
